Corporate Overview

DKA Associates, Inc. was established in 2002 as a professional services company for small consulting firms in the DC area. After performing well on several projects for commercial clients in the Washington D.C. area, it was decided to focus energies on dealing with clients in the Federal markets; DKA took a position with a local government contractor and is responsible for the financial management system for a major government client. David T. Higgs III joined DKA Associates in 2006 as Managing Partner after leaving a Project Management role with AT&T.

After several managerial meetings, the decision was made to incorporate DKA. In 2006 DKA Associates received incorporation status. DKA and its management team decided to increase the organizations service offering by adding; Project Management Support, Management Consulting, Systems Engineering and Technical Support, Wiring and Installation of circuit’s, and Telecommunication Services, to the company’s portfolio of service offerings. This allowed DKA Associates to enhance its mission of becoming recognized as the leading small business that delivers solutions in Telecommunications and Management Consulting. DKA core competencies include project management support, wiring and installation of circuits, project analysis, risk assessment, records management, program and budget support studies and engineering technical support.

The company is a minority woman owned business.  DKA is customer-focused with experienced managers and staff. Our approach to business is responsiveness and high quality, customer service through anticipating problems and developing optimal solutions. Our approaches to meeting customer needs are simple! Fully understand the tasks, gather accurate data, and execute in a timely manner!

DKA Associates Inc. our consulting team understands the complexities involved in managing, developing, scoping and risk involved with maintaining large-scale, Telecommunication and information technology projects. We are trained in project management process methodology through George Washington University and have experienced complex projects in both large and small organizations, that expertise allows our team and our clients to track and organize all project activities. We engage in constant communication with team members, clients, and stakeholders that deliver results, and ensure the project is both running smoothly and cost effective. We place a tremendous amount of emphasis on ensuring that the projects we engage in are seamless and functional. Our projects are completed on time, on budget, and within the guidelines agreed and established by the project's business requirements.

A small business DKA Associates Inc. (SB), Management Team consists of David T. Higgs III, Graduate Indiana University – Masters Degree in Management and George Washington University - Masters Certificate in Project Management.

David T. Higgs III served as Project Manager for AT&T, Sprint and Global One before joining DKA Associates Inc. DKA is expecting to grow from 5 employees to approximately 100 employees by 2015. Business referral and excellent service will be the driving force behind the growth. DKA’s goal is to be recognized as the premier Project Management Consulting and Telecommunications professional services firm known by private and public sector organizations for delivering outstanding quality and customer satisfaction.
